The present world is the world of trials and competitions. It is not possiblehere that the other party will agree upon on your own wishes.
Among the chiefs of Makkah a renowned chief was Utba bin Rabiyya. It is an account of a time before migration that Quraish once upon a time made Utba as their representative and sent him to Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him). The complete account of this is written in the books of seerah. When Utba came back after having conversation with Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), he said to the Quraish: ”O epode of the Quraish! Listen to me and do not try to involve between this person (PBUH) and in what he (PBUH) is. If the Arabs deal with him then it will be enough for them. And if he conquered Arab, then his (PBUH) rule is your rule. And his (PBUH) respect is your respect.” Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used it in his favor.
The present world is the world of trials and competitions. It is not possible here that the other party will agree upon on your own wishes. It is not possible here to persuade the other party on your own conditions. Most of the time, one has to agree with the opponents. This agreement is not surrender; rather it is wisdom because of which a person gets a starting point for himself.
This is the test of the wisdom and strategy of a person. It has to be seen here that if there is any room in the conditions of the opponents agreeing upon which we can find a way to develop our future. Thus, Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) did this on the time of the Hudaibiya pact. Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) understood the mindset of the Quraish with a lot of wisdom and used this knowledge with a lot of vision. Thus, on the occasion of Hudaibiya when the quraish stopped you from moving further, at that time the message that you (PBUH) sent to the Quraish had the following words included in it too. ”We have not come to fight with anyone. Rather we have come to perform Umrah. And war has ruined Quraish. And they have had a lot of losses. If they want, I can fix a term of peace with them for a certain period of time. And they should move away from me and other Arab tribes. If I succeed, then if they want they can accept the religion which other people have accepted. And if I do not succeed then their desire is available.
